Evidence where it matters mostEffective advocacy needs solid evidence.
We turn research into action for animals.
Many promising advocacy efforts stall because the right evidence isn’t available when decisions are made. We work to change that.
Our work focuses on under-studied, high-impact regions—especially the Majority World (‘Global South') and Muslim-majority contexts—where most farmed animals live but locally relevant evidence remains limited.
We conduct research, support advocates in building the skills to use it, and help translate findings into real-world strategies. Through economics, impact evaluation, and context-specific work, we aim to improve outcomes for animals at scale.

Research spotlight
What are the pathways to protecting farmed animals in Middle East (South West Asia)?
In collaboration with Sezin Ekinci & the Middle East Vegan Society (MEVS), we surveyed ~2,000 adults across the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon to understand public views on protecting farmed animals.
Our results highlight the current landscape, identifying the most prominent barriers and opportunities for change. Based on these findings, we share evidence-based recommendations for animal advocacy organisations working in the region.
Why this matters? While research on public attitudes toward animal agriculture is expanding globally, context-specific evidence from Middle East (South West Asia) remains limited. This region is experiencing rapid population growth, rising demand for animal-based foods, and distinct cultural and institutional contexts. Without locally grounded data, it is harder for advocates, policymakers, and researchers to design effective strategies and engage the public in meaningful ways.
Have questions, feedback, or need help applying the findings? Take this 2-minute feedback survey here. We offer support with understanding the results, adapting them to your context, and identifying relevant next steps.
